An Overnighter At The Premier Inn Tonbridge

Tonbridge Premier Inn

Premier Inn TonbridgeA couple of weekends ago we had to go to Tonbridge overnight. It was very much a fleeting visit but because we needed to be there for very early in the morning and we live in Cardiff, it made sense to book a hotel for the night before.

We genuinely didn’t bother faffing around searching for ‘best/cheapest hotels’ on the various comparison sites. We just typed in ‘Premier Inn, Tonbridge‘ and lo and behold Mr. Google took us to the Premier Inn site.

We’ve stayed in Premier Inns a fair few times now, as many of you know. Our most recent stay at The Premier Inn Brighton  went without a hitch and reinforced to us how strong the Premier Inn brand is now.

The Premier Inn Tonbridge didn’t disappoint although I wish the flat-screen TV had been on the wall in the area in front of the bed rather than up on the wall in the corner of the Premier Inn Logoroom. It didn’t half crick my neck. I really shouldn’t have mentioned a negative before all the positives because there really were way more good points than bad.

Most Premier Inns offer tremendous value for money and from our experience are usually clean and tidy, contemporary-looking and with welcoming, well-trained staff. The Premier Inn Tonbridge was quiet and right next to a reasonable enough pub. The food wasn’t amazing but there was plenty to choose from on the menu, the food was hot, the service fast and the staff lovely. Breakfast was pretty much perfect according to Mr. C. Hot & plentiful with the usual choices and as important as anything coffee brought straight to the table with no hanging around waiting. I didn’t go for breakfast as I wasn’t feeling 100% but that’s another story…..

Premier Inn wouldn’t be my first choice for say a Romantic Weekend Away but if you need somewhere good, clean & quiet to get your head down overnight at a reasonable price, then look to see if there’s a Premier Inn near where you’re going and just book it. You honestly don’t need to shop around.

Mrs C
In a nutshell, I'm a Mum to three gorgeous daughters and two step-sons who are gradually making their own lives and leaving Mr. C and I plenty of time to enjoy life just as a couple again. I'm a big fan of Afternoon Tea & Corrie and hate, with a vengeance, violence in films! I love reading 'proper' books though I concede that my birthday Kindle was brilliant on holidays.
