A while back sitting in a local coffee shop I had a disconcerting conversation with a friend which led me to abandon my usual antiperspirant in favour of a simple deodorant.

I’m not going to go into the whole story as I think this is something women should inform themselves about in their own time and make their own minds up. I don’t mean to sound alarmist, I really don’t.  Why don’t you take a look at some of the information about anti-perspirants and cancer  here and click around a bit in Google and then you’ll see why I’ve started having serious reservations about antiperspirants.

Now I realise it’s very much an ‘each to her own’ decision but it’s as well to know the facts.

Anyway, I’ve been using the Aloe Ever-Shield Deodorant Stick pictured on the right and Mr. C and I are both converts. The first thing you’re all wondering is no doubt ‘Does it work?’ and the answer is a resounding YES. It gives me (and him!) effective all-day protection and unlike many other deodorants and antiperspirants, it is really gentle and doesn’t sting at all if you apply it after shaving your under-arms. (We all know how sensitive our pits can be after a ‘going over’ with a razor.) So far too I haven’t seen any evidence of staining my clothes either which is a huge plus for me. I suppose it’s only when the Summer comes and I’m wearing lots of white tops that I’ll find out for definite though.

In fact like Mr. Remington who ‘liked it so much he bought the company’ (an allusion probably only understood by older readers:), we like it so much we have started selling the stuff ourselves. .

My opinions here are completely unbiassed by the way.  I only became involved in selling this Aloe Deodorant because I genuinely like it and it’s not easy to buy natural deodorants on the High Street.  I’m sure people out there who don’t know me will choose to ignore my review assuming this is just a cynical sales-spiel but believe me, it’s not. Hand on heart, I can 100% whole-heartedly recommend this deodorant.  It does exactly what it says on the tin, smells great and lasts for ages!
