Lush Lip Scrubs and Lip Tints

Lush Pow Wow

Pow Wow Lip ScrubI’ve found a brilliant Lip Scrub from Lush called Pow Wow

I suppose it’s kind of like a gentle lip exfoliator. You just put a small amount on your finger and apply it to your lips in a circular motion. The popping candy and the sugar gently scrubs the lips and the jojoba oil soothes them. The added rose hip oil and argan oil keep your lips nice and moisturised too. I read somewhere that the jojoba oil also hepls to hydrate and smoothe out the fine lines around the lips which is a bit of an added bonus.

In Lush I also picked up one of their Tinted Lip Balms. I have the Chilli Tingle Lip Tint and I LOVE it! Not only does it make my lips feel nice and soft but it also gives them a bit of colour too. The first time I put it on, I forgot it was tinted and applied it a little too generously. Fortunately Mr. C was there to point out my dayglo orange lips. I realised the error of my ways and now only apply it lightly. The colour stayChilli Tingle Lip Balm from Lushs for ages and it doesn’t feel like you’re wearing a heavy lipstick. Perfect for the day and a really natural look!

The NEW Chilli Tingle lip tint is £4.75 and is well worth it. It’s made with Mexican chillies, organic jojoba oil, Fairtrade cocoa butter and candelilla wax.

The Snow Fairy Lip Tint is a lovely natural tint too. I tried it in the shop but decided to go for the Chilli Tingle. Next time I’m in Lush, I’ll pick up the pinky-hued one I think. One of the girls in the Cardiff shop told me that you can use the Lush lip tints as a cream blusher on your cheekbones but I’m a powder blusher lady so that’s not for me.

She gave me lovely arm and hand massage though while she was chatting to me so the visit to the shop was well worth it!

In a nutshell, I'm a Mum to three gorgeous daughters and two step-sons who are gradually making their own lives and leaving Mr. C and I plenty of time to enjoy life just as a couple again. I'm a big fan of Afternoon Tea & Corrie and hate, with a vengeance, violence in films! I love reading 'proper' books though I concede that my birthday Kindle was brilliant on holidays.
