Ripa Hotel in Rome

Ripa Hotel RomeOne very excited ‘not so young’ lady here! Off to Rome on Thursday for a ‘Big Birthday’ and can’t wait. We’re staying at a hotel called the Ripa Hotel which is smack bang in the middle of everything in the historical Travestere area. It’s near loads of bars, cafes & restaurants and is also only a cheap 20 minute direct train ride away from Fiumicino Airport so no hefty taxi fares to worry about!

Apparently the Ripa is just minutes from the Vatican and lots of other historical landmarks.  It looks really modern and is very reasonably priced compared to some of the other hotels we looked at and we’ve even got breakfast included too!  I like the fact that it looks bright & funky and I’m thinking that surely if the website looks as good as it does, it’s got to be ok.

Ripa Hotel roomBooking hotels is always quite fraught as let’s be fair we’re basically booking blind but having looked at the images on the Ripa Hotel website, I think we’re pretty safe. We’re booked into an Executive Room which appears to be minimalist yet contemporary like the rest of the hotell. Hope the hotel is as good as it looks on the website!  I’ll report back next week when I get back.

Arrivedici!

In a nutshell, I'm a Mum to three gorgeous daughters and two step-sons who are gradually making their own lives and leaving Mr. C and I plenty of time to enjoy life just as a couple again. I'm a big fan of Afternoon Tea & Corrie and hate, with a vengeance, violence in films! I love reading 'proper' books though I concede that my birthday Kindle was brilliant on holidays.
