Botanicals Rose and Geranium hand lotionMost of you know how much I love Botanicals organic skincare products and so when I found that they had added a few extras to their Rose & Geranium range I was pretty excited. Over the past week or so, I’ve been trying the new Body Polish, Body Lotion & Hand Lotion and I’ve got to say I’m impressed.

According to the ‘blurb’ “Botanicals uses a special blend of antioxidant-rich organic essential oils, including wild rose and rose geranium, along with other certified organic ingredients, to create an aromatic infusion of delight for your senses and your skin.” The rose scent is really subtle and not in the slightest bit sickly like some floral aromas. Apparently, rose is rich in Vitamin C and so is a powerful antioxidant to help protect your skin against free radical damage such as ageing. The other plus is that rose moistures and nourishes and happens to have a natural, gentle astringent action to help tighten pores, without drying the skin. As we know rose aroma helps calm and soothe the mind too which is why we are so often aware of the scent in spa-type environments.

Ok, so my favourite out of the whole bunch has to be the Botanicals Rose & Geranium Nourishing Hand Lotion which only costs £14.95 for 100ml. Yes, I know you can buy cheaper hand creams but this one is the ‘bees-knees’! It’s a luxurious hand lotion full of all manner of yummy soft-making ingredients. Organic shea butter, cocoa butter, aloe vera, green tea extract, wild rose, rose geranium and palmaroa are some of the nourishing ingredients which help to condition and moisturise the hands. I always do the whole hand-cream routine thing in the evening when I’m sitting watching the TV or reading and I find with this Botanicals one that I’m constantly sniffing my hands as I love the scent so much. I’ve tried a lot of hand creams over the years but this one definitely ranks as one of my favourites.

Botanicals logoBotanicals Rose & Geranium Nourishing Body Lotion again has a delicate floral fragrance and feels like this a real ‘luxury product’. It contains certified organic shea butter, cocoa butter and rosehip as well as certified organic green tea extract (which has powerful antioxidant properties), wild rose, rose geranium and palmarosa. It sinks in quickly and leaves the skin feeling and smelling lovely for ages. This is a product that I would buy again and again without doubt!

The new Botanicals Rose & Geranium Nourish Body Polish uses raw cane sugar, Himalayan salt crystals and various essential oils such as wild rose and rose geranium, to buff and brighten the skin. Turns out that raw organic cane sugar is a natural source of glycolic acid, which as we know, is good at removing dead skin cells and promoting faster cell regeneration to reveal fresher, younger-looking skin below. So not only will you smell nice but perhaps you’ll look younger too – well we can but dream……

Mrs C
In a nutshell, I'm a Mum to three gorgeous daughters and two step-sons who are gradually making their own lives and leaving Mr. C and I plenty of time to enjoy life just as a couple again. I'm a big fan of Afternoon Tea & Corrie and hate, with a vengeance, violence in films! I love reading 'proper' books though I concede that my birthday Kindle was brilliant on holidays.
