Evolve Gentle Cleansing Melt

Evolve Gentle Cleansing Melt ReviewI’ve been trying Evolve Gentle Cleansing Melt over the past week or so and it’s one of those products that in theory should suit me down to the ground.

I’ve developed quite sensitive skin over the past few years so I’m constantly changing my skincare regime looking for the perfect products. Evolve Cleansing Melt should have been a No-Brainer then but I couldn’t have been more wrong!

Yes, it’s full of natural and organic ingredients and it comes in a lovely pink, stylish tub but that doesn’t detract from the fact that the texture is not at all pleasant. It’s a weird kind of sticky, opaque gel and it leaves my face feeling tacky to the touch if I don’t spend ages wiping it off with cotton-wool and even then it doesn’t feel clean, to be honest.

The way I’ve been doing it is I massage it into my face and then put some warm water on and rub that in too. The Evolve  Cleansing Melt then turns a milky colour and I wipe it off with cotton-wool. I don’t find it particulary good at removing  eye make-up but other reviewers have loved it. One thing in its favour is that it doesn’t make my skin tingle or sting like so many other products and if I didn’t have any other cleanser in the house then I’d probably use it. However I think it’s fair to say that it would never really be my cleanser of choice. One of the few cleansers I’ve loved recently has been from Senzimi Skincare.

So in a nutshell, nice as the packaging is, this is a product that doesn’t suit my skin so I wouldn’t buy it again. That’s not to say though that it wouldn’t suit you……

I bought mine for £12.99 from The wonderful MyPure website where there’s a fab range of products for sensitive skin!

Mrs C
In a nutshell, I'm a Mum to three gorgeous daughters and two step-sons who are gradually making their own lives and leaving Mr. C and I plenty of time to enjoy life just as a couple again. I'm a big fan of Afternoon Tea & Corrie and hate, with a vengeance, violence in films! I love reading 'proper' books though I concede that my birthday Kindle was brilliant on holidays.
