Going For The Soft-Focus Look

AHAVA Eye CreamBelow are a few of the products I like which really do ‘do what they say on the tin’ as it were……

AHAVA Extreme Firming Eye Cream – so many of the ‘firming’ eye-creams out there seem to leave a kind of translucent/white plasticy residue on the eye area but not this AHAVA one. The thing I like best about it, is that it really does soften any fine lines or crows feet in the eye area and even though it’s a nice, creamy texture, it soaks in quite quickly so you don’t have to wait for ages before putting your make up on.Definitely gets TheThumbsUp!

Docteur Renaud Iris Smoothing Concentrate – I’ve been using this one on the area on my forehead between my eyes – the area that they call The Elevens over in The States because it can look like the number 11 just above the nose. In my case it’s more of a Number One but hey that’s got to be good surely, only having a wrinkly 1 instead of an 11? It does soften the wrinkle a bit but it doesn’t hide it completely. But then it would have to be fairly heavy-duty stuff to disguise it completely. The Iris Smoothing Concentrate is also good on the ‘smile lines’ around my eyes  so it’s a good all-purpose cream as it saves you doubling up on face and eye cream. Handy for when you go away for a weekend and don’t want to take a zillion lotions & potions with you.

You all know I love Barefoot Botanicals Rosa Fina Youth Serum  but I’ve just bought my second pack of it and I’ve probably raved about this product to my friends more than any other product I’ve tried over my adult life. It’s significantly better than the Yves Saint Laurent Forever Youth Liberator Serum but less than half the price at MyPure. Again it sort of blurs any lines & wrinkles in a very natural way. It’s a lovely, light and creamy texture which soaks in easily. It’s perfect for my skin and a little goes a long, long way.

Mrs C
In a nutshell, I'm a Mum to three gorgeous daughters and two step-sons who are gradually making their own lives and leaving Mr. C and I plenty of time to enjoy life just as a couple again. I'm a big fan of Afternoon Tea & Corrie and hate, with a vengeance, violence in films! I love reading 'proper' books though I concede that my birthday Kindle was brilliant on holidays.
