Lush is LushBeautyShopping and About Town by Mrs C - January 26, 2011January 28, 2011Lush is one of those shops which I love walking past on the High Street as it always smells so lovely and inviting. If I’ve got time I like to go in and just touch and sniff the various concoctions on offer though inevitably I’ll end up buying something.I don’t think we’ve ever had a Lush Bath Bomb in the house yet which I and my three daughters didn’t all fall in love with. Although sharing baths can be a minefield with Lush products as Mr. C found to his horror a while back. I had had a particularly decadent and indulgent soak in a bath scented with a fizzing, frothy loveliness of a Bath Bomb and suggested Mr. C got in too. As it happens he was on his way to a ‘macho’ Helicopter Safety Training Course where he had to strip off ready to be plunged into a very deep pool and attempt to escape from a simulated flying accident. You can no doubt imagine the locker-room banter which he had to endure once he had disrobed only to discover that he was glittering all over from the afore-mentioned Lush Bath Bomb. As he said afterwards, he was happy to smell yummy and have lovely soft skin but he really did not want to be semi-naked, surrounded by a whole load of hairy men looking like ‘a fairy on top of a f***ing Christmas Tree’!Products I’ve tried recently:Up You Gets Emotibomb – a citrussy, thing you put on the floor of the shower and it supposedly wakes you up when you inhale all the lovely invigorating essential oils.Godiva Shampoo and Conditioning Bar – this would be good as it lathers up brilliantly but one, I don’t like the jasmine scent particularly and two, the first time I used it I came out of the shower with a burning hot, red face. I thought this was a one-off reaction to something but as it happened the next morning too, I can only assume that the ingredients in the product didn’t ‘agree’ with me.Buffy Body Butter is wonderful and well worth buying!Mrs. CJanuary 26 2011
