The Brighton Premier Inn (again!)

Brighton Pier

Brighton PierA couple of weeks ago I was meant to go to Brighton for a couple of days. The intention was to just chill, eat lots of good food and catch-up with my brother and his gorgeous kids. Well ‘the best-laid plans of mice and men’ and all that…….

As most of my Twitter and Blog followers know I went into hospital for 10 days for pretty major surgery instead so as I’d pre-paid for the hotel, one of our daughters Maddie went with her boyfriend in our place.

Here’s what Maddie had to say ……

Premier Inn Logo“The Premier Inn was the perfect base for our mini-break to Brighton. A short walk from the train station and slap bang in the middle of the bustling high street with The Lanes right on the doorstep and The Pier a few minutes on foot. Rooms were simple but clean and bright although lacking in the toiletries I usually assume will be available in hotels! We forgot our toothpaste and Reception didn’t have any to hand so we had to pop to the very handy 99p store next door!

The food served at the hotel restaurant did actually look rather appealing on the The Lanesmenu but we decided to head out and find a nice restaurant on the seafront to eat at instead – would recommend Alfresco down by the old pier to everyone, the food was incredible.

We opted to have breakfast at the hotel on both mornings. Lovely cooked breakfast but the continental side was not so good. Bread, crumpets and mini croissants were available but I had been looking forward to a pain au chocolate or a chocolate muffin. Unfortunately the breakfasts didn’t really cater for us chocoholics! However, at a cheapish, simple hotel you wouldn’t really expect anything exotic for breakfast and I was quite happy tucking into the yummy bacon and eggs!

Family-friendly, lovely staff, very reasonable rates, clean, quiet rooms, good food and set in the perfect location to explore exciting Brighton”

So The Thumbs Up to The Brighton Premier Inn again albeit from Maddie and not me! As you can see though from my last review we rate it pretty highly too.

Mrs C
In a nutshell, I'm a Mum to three gorgeous daughters and two step-sons who are gradually making their own lives and leaving Mr. C and I plenty of time to enjoy life just as a couple again. I'm a big fan of Afternoon Tea & Corrie and hate, with a vengeance, violence in films! I love reading 'proper' books though I concede that my birthday Kindle was brilliant on holidays.
